The physical portal itself has been almost complete for a while now. I bet anything that the delay is due to the uncertainty over 2WTC's resumed construction. Had Fox followed through with Silverstein's deal, the Port Authority wouldn't have wanted to have 2WTC's entrance open for just a few months only to close it again for several years just as commuters were getting used to it. It looks like it's a safe bet to open now, though, given Fox's withdrawal.

I hope the people that get thanked at that ceremony are A) the hardworking construction people who did the work, and B) the patient people of NY and NJ. No time for self congratulatory backslapping by the PA please!

If it weren't for some evidence that they were temporary, I would launch a complaint about the signs.

The finishing of that plaster is even worse than I thought. Hopefully they'll fix it sometime.

I would like to see backlight signs or LED displays...sigh...I guess that's asking for too much from the PA...

Why would you think they are temporary? They look final to me. Not to say that I like them very much, but I guess that's what it will be.

There's an indentation on the wall behind the "exit to liberty street, 4 world trade center" sign.

What a modern marvel! (It certainly has grown on me.) I would have liked to see something done by the late Hadid and Calatrava, togather I'm sure that they would had created something great, they're style just seamlessly blend.

Would have been awesome if Zaha designed the PAC. It would have been a huge collection of starchitecture.

It can be pretty and a waste of money at the same time.

The oculus is barely finished and it's already a major tourist attraction. A pure beauty.

I was in owe when I took that pic.
