^Looks like it could be, we shall wait and see (and hope it's the 1280!)

its very possible.

if it is blue, I wonder who owns it...IIRC Koch's colors are red, but Skanska's are blue.

I doubt skanska owns a crane like that though.

You will realize how big a Favco 1280 is when you see it next to a 760.

But in answer to your bigger questions, I still think outside the hole works the best, IMO

DCM is due to turn over half of the hub area to Skanska by the end of the month.

Id say around that time we see the new crane going up.

To be slider cranes, they didn't seem to do much sliding.

Wow those tower sections are massive. And I love that blue color

BTW they seem to have been in a huge rush to get that NW corner waterproofed. They worked all night putting down whatever that black stuff is, then the pink foam. and they already poured the upper concrete layer. Playing catch-up?

Just looked at the cams and the AC500 is raising. Hopefully we see them unload the blue masts from the trailers. They also brought in another small Link-Belt RT crane which could help him trip the sections vertical

The Blue mast sections have now been transferred to within the Oculus, so I guess it will rise there.

I'm sorry for the late response, the Skanska Favco 1280 will be positioned where the original DCM east tower crane was located. Its erection was scheduled for the first days of November but Sandy delayed the whole work.
