Thanks for the info, Otie. There is currently no rain or snow in the 7-day forecast, and it's suppose to be a bit warmer than originally predicted. So hopefully we will see lots of activity here and across the rest of the WTC for the start of the new year (after today).

Its here: base model, here cab and power pack, and I have bunches of pre-rigged booms at angles of 0, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, and 86 degrees.

Back to the Hub: The west crane is lifting several sub-portals and new steel is on site on the back of a trailer.

Oculus view from Earthcam is looking towards Tower One.

KPI cam

This piece should be located near the center of the longitudinal axis.

I guess Earth Cam giveths, and Earth Cam takeths away. Maybe the Oculus cam will be back on soon.

Also somewhat off-topic if I may, it looks like the corners of 1WTC have been redesigned. Originally, they were tapered; now it looks like they will be filled in to give the podium a more-stable appearance. I like the new look; the Tower looked "tipsy" to me before this change.

It still amazes me the scale of the M1280s

no kidding. I wonder if they are trying to make up for the extremely long delays in the excavation. Weren't they nearly a year behind by the time they were ready to start building above the foundation?

For the interested, glazing between the portals is expected to begin this summer, 1 7/8" thick.

I would imagine that AT LEAST 1/8 of that is a layer of plastic to prevent shattering in the worst case scenario. Every aspect of this project is so over-engineered as to be nearly unbelievable. I can't imagine the weight of the panes.

The hub is seriously one of the most extraordinary parts of the site...

Yes I agree about Earthcam. What would be better is that the cam is ACTUALLY LIVE. Everyone here should email them and tell them to get off their asses and fix it.
