33 portals/subportals installed on the northern side, about 26 on the southern side (not sure because the tower cranes always obscure a part of the view). This makes around 59 out of 96! And new ones are coming in again this night..

I'm already curious how they will proceed with the above grade oculus steel.. will they need temporary supports?

I don't believe so, upper portals will be guyed and temporary pipe braced will be added between adjacent portals (very much like the bracing we saw at some columns down the hall.

When do you figure upper portals will begin installation?

Otie do you think you could prod Joe Woolhead to take some pictures from inside the Oculus? It would be nice to see what the portals and subportals look like now.

Joe hasn't updated his blog since almost a year, I have no direct contact. Wish I could share the ones I receive, will keep looking for anything that gets public and share it here inmediately

First columns of the North/South Retail Corridor between T3 and T4 have started!!

Found these on Flickr, kinda old but no major changes since then...

^Notice the stonework on the right background, this wall has been completely marbled.

^This is just below the subway box, main difference is that there's a huge blanket on the background, behind this blanket coating contractor is laying the final white finishes to the ribs, ceiling panels are also being installed on some areas, covering the metal deck.

i noticed that in this picture the first sub-level is really out of line with where the sub-portals are going to be placed. It looks like in the renderings the lower portals that connect the street level to the first sub-level are only slightly diagonal

Otie thanks for the pic. I was curious if they were just bolting the portals or welding them also.

^That's the 9A underpass that connects the hub with Brookfield area. Escalator trusses are already prepared to be turned over to Otis for final work.

thejacko, what area are you interested to see? I can share a rendering.
