Kaohsiung metro - Any info/pics?

I've heard Kaohsiung has or is finishing a medium-capacity metro network; any information or pictures on it? Thanks!

Kaohsiung MRT has not started its operation yet, it's still all under construction. The first section of Red Line -- Siaogang Sta. (R3) ~ Sanduo Shopping Area Sta. (R8) will opening in the end of 2006. Other sections of Red Line initial route and Orange Line initial route are planned to open in 2007.
So... there're just some pics of future design of the stations, and counstruction photos.

Kaohsiung

it's not a median capacity metro - it is a full metro? and as in Asia usual build all together and opened nearly at once!

their web sites: www.kcg.gov.tw
and www.krtco.com.tw

see also worldwide metros incl. maps and data: www.urbanRail.net

kind regards from Germany!

Wow, the elevated stations are so massive. How many cars per train is this.

Really amazing! Seems to be one of the most elegant metro systems in Asia, aesthetically speaking!

Amazing! The stations are massive but elegant and there is a good compromise between aesthetics and efficiency.
Seen from Paris, it is a dream!
The Paris metro is so dirty and the people less and less civic. The record seems to be: "I **** everyone and I did what I want in this rotten space !". They spit, they pee, they throws on the ground because the dustbin is 2 meters farer, they smoke arrogantly , and new fashion : putting the shoes on the seats ( these shoes that just finish to walk on many spits, of course !).
This is not an exaggeration, I'm Parisian and take the subway every day, so I am well placed for observing the shameful attitude of a minority of users. A growing minority...

3 cars per train at present, and the possibility of adding to 6 cars per train will be available if the ridership grows up very much in future (In fact, except the temporary used structure of MRT Kaohsiung Main Station, platform lengths of other MRT stations are all designed to support 6 cars per train operation mode).
