Well, how about BETAWI (not Batavia).
I like that.....since my user name in Yahoo Chat is JAMPANG BETAWI LOL

I think, its should remain as a city....a big city.... its not a mertopolitan yet.
We can't call JAKARTA as a mertopolitan yet, since so many things that JAKARTA still don't have them yet.
Like modern mass transit (subway), I hope the monorail project will go ahead to reality. The city sewer system still outdated....the city still have so many open sewers, the draining system also still outdated...every rainy season, the city always get flooded. The city need sewer plant...so all of the raw sewage not gonna ended up in the river or at the Jakarta bay (teluk jakarta).

Well, maybe all of my old friends from I.T.B can take care all of those problems...

Well lets back to the topic,
Even New York City that really a metropolitan, still to be called as a city not a state. Well, we can call JAKARTA as DAERAH ISTIMEWA like Jogjakarta atau like Washington DC.

is it a good Idea if we make a thread in the main Forum of Indonesian forum and the topic is:

I'M IN JAKARTA/INDONESIA NOW!!!... what should I photo?

since most of us are abroad,its to keep track of people going to Jakarta/Indonesia.the people going/currently in Jakarta/Indonesia tells he/she is in Jakarta/Indonesia from date xx to date xx and we can request what building/site for the person to photo

BTW the thread should be sticky

what do you guys think?

It doesnt have to be sticky, but make sure the thread is a photo thread only, because the mainforum is a photography forum

But if the thread is only asking about what he should take a picture in Indonesia, then it should be in Gado-Gado, and i will put it on sticky.

The internet connection speed in Singapore has dropped to the level of that of broadband connection in Indonesia....

Iya, udah bisa akses detik.com lagi tuh. Kayanya provider mereka re-route linknya. Must be expensive.
