The Shell station has been demolished and is making way for construction soon.

THe 6 story shop lot in Air Keroh is almost completed.Quite disappointed with the colours though.

Melaka Mall dijangka beroperasi April ini

BUKIT SERINDIT, 7 Jan : Melaka Mall yang merupakan satu lagi pusat beli-belah di negeri ini kini telah siap 100 peratus dan dijangka beroperasi 1 April ini.

Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam berkata, walaupun kerja-kerja renovasi bangunan terbabit telah siap sepenuhnya tetapi penyewa perlu melakukan renovasi di lot masing-masing sebelum mula beroperasi.

"Sebab itu kita ambil masa tiga bulan untuk buka Melaka Mall sebab kita nak penyewa buat dulu renovasi sebelum kita buka Melaka Mall," katanya kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan Festival Layang-layang Melaka-China sempena Menyambut Tahun Melawat Malaysia (TMM) 2007 di Stadium Tun Fatimah di sini, hari ini.

Menurutnya, selain lot-lot kedai, pusat beli-belah terbabit turut dilengkapi dengan panggung wayang. "Panggung wayang terbabit akan memainkan pelbagai jenis filem sama ada filem Melayu, Cina, Inggeris dan Tamil.

"Panggung yang siarkan filem Tamil agak kurang, jadi saya nak orang-orang India terutamanya di kampung-kampung datang sini tengok cerita Tamil," katanya.

Beliau turut berkeyakinan Melaka Mall terbabit dapat bersaing dengan pusat belah-belah yang lain.

i think Tesco is much bigger than giant lah. Tesco Melaka is very huge, more comfortable. I think all giant hyper are about this size lah. Senawang giant also quite small

Alienwong, mana boleh u compare malacca giant hypermarket with Kelana Jaya hypermarket....??? hahaha....
Malacca Giant hypermarker looks weird actually, hypermarket at the first floor while 26 shop lots at ground floor ....the reason is they want the customer to go through all the shop at ground floor before proceed to the first floor .....Hehehe....

I went there last wednesday...The food at the food court not nice at all....no more second time....and all the place selling Rm0.99 ice cream......but i didn buy at all...
anyway, for me giant is smaller then tesco lar.....I think giant is the same size with the old tesco (before tesco did renovation)...

Alienwong, so tell me honestly...next time, will u go more often to giant or tesco? :P

Didn expect malacca mall to open so late....they even build faster then giant hypermarket and Dataran Pahlawan....

aiyah...... i just give my opinion only, why so many people like to shoot me......

i think tesco still more convenient for me, and giant has caused many problems there liao, like traffic jam (because road not big), no enough parking lots, and too many rubbish liao. This is because Malacca Government give hypermarket license and do not mention giant do not build hypermarket at residence area.

How about you??????? Which one u will go mostly?????

In malacca, I only go Pahlawan, mahkota parade and jusco ......

do you go to hong kong restaurants in Pahlawan? I advise you better don try both restaurants, because the food just can use one word to describe. It is WORSE!!!!!!!!!

I think malacca mall only had around 120 shop lots....
I heard they said the mall is mainly for the bumiputra to do their business there...correct me if i am wrong...
anyway, I heard red box is entering there.....
I hope the rumours are true....
