Nice photos man, I like the airport. What I didn't like was the Shaka Zulu's statue as I always thought it makes him look like a herds boy instead of a prominent Zulu lead, but the rest is fine.

Aerial Photo Collection of KSIA

Hi Folks,
Its great to see Durbanites all in favour and heaping praise on our new airport.

I'm new to the SSC forum and it seems not yet allowed to upload images/attachments, so I can't include any of my pics here, but you KSIA pundits are encouraged to visit my Site and see a collection of aerial images of KSIA. http://www.airserv.co.za/tc.php?pk=wip#ksia

I did see one person in this thread mis-naming the new airport as Ushaka - to be properly pedantic; its King Shaka International Airport.

Cheers and I hope my pics are enjoyed.
Steve

Greetings Pule,
Its great to get both a welcome and confirmation that at least one fella followed my link and looked at the pics - it kinda makes the effort seem worthwhile.
Keep well and Cheers,
Steve

strange that you can post pics here, normally you just have to upload them and paste them here?

First, welcome to the boards, Steve!

Second. wow, wow, wow to your pics. They are AMAZING! Thanks for posting them online. Your KSIA pics are great. For the record, so are the others.

The stadium pics, in particular, are breathtaking.

I love the shots of the people on the viewing platform at the top of the arch. It's the first time I've seen shots like these.

Your Queen Mary shots in the Durban harbour are stunning. Post-card worthy material, in my opinion. Well done!

If you want to post your pics on these boards, it's easy. Simply paste the webpage link of the pic you want to post and type immediately after the link address (leaving no space).

You should post some of your pics on the Durban Gallery page, which can be accessed here:

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2180

Again, welcome to the boards and thanks for sharing your fantastic pics with us!

hehe! what do the French know about defense. they should have gotten training by US or British forces, with some amazing toys to play with at that. anyways, the airport is amazing and first class all the way. good job.

I was at the Dube Tradeport yesterday and noticed a very wide overhead cargo transport bridge system being installed between the buildings on the left and right of the road (going over the road) at the cargo terminal......lots of rollers inside.
