Tunisia: first eco-friendly hotel inaugurated

Tunisia: first eco-friendly hotel inaugurated

Russelior”, the first eco-friendly hotel in Tunisia, was inaugurated on Tuesday in Yasmine Hammamet.

Unique in its kind in Tunisia, the new hotel unit should appeal to tourists who choose eco- friendly destinations.

With its ecological rooms, blankets and carpets which are made of biological materials, the hotel offers visitors high quality services and state of the art accommodation conditions.

Located in a lush green park, the hotel houses a large variety of flowers and an oasis of some 2000 palm trees.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Slim Tlatli, Minister of Tourism stressed that this achievement is an example of efforts exerted to offer a tourist product that meets the demands of foreign and Tunisian tourists.

He also emphasized the importance of this achievement which will certainly enhance the image of the Tunisian tourist destination, given the excellent level of services it offers. In 2009, the hotel was awarded the President of the Republic's Energy Saving Prize.
