Sheinkin Street is a street in the city centre, especially known for the colorful people strolling around,
its unique shops, architecture, café scene and youthful ambiance.

Deanb Congratulations, beautiful photos and very interesting city.
Where are you in those photos, old town of Tel Aviv?
I am wrong, or the first photo is falling to the ground a bin?

Only 14 ° C? Blessed are you, here in Milan today we did not go beyond -1 and at this time (22:17) there are 5 degrees below zero.

Until next time, Ciao!

PS Think what a coincidence, even as Toronto, Tel Aviv is twinned with Milano

ciao, grazie mille!

the last set was taken in central Tel Aviv, around Sheinkin street, which is a very hip and young area... it does have some older houses in it, but also some which was built recently...

we've actually had a cold, stormy and rainy weekend - 14C was the max and it got down to 10C during the night

I've always wanted to visit Milano, I suppose it will happen one day

First of all thanks for your info and very nice new photos from Tel Aviv
Second, how cold is the weather now in Jerusalem because here in Athens since last Friday the minimum temperature is: from 0 to 4 C and the max. is: 10 (right now)

I've attached two graphs of this week's temperatures in Jerusalem city center - notice that Monday was the coldest day yet this winter, with a min of 0C

Gorgeous pics! It's unbelievable that some very recently renovated buildings already are showing signs of decay. The humidity and salty air are just brutal. I think the city now requires that buildings be renovated at least once every 15 years. It really should be half that, i.e. once every seven years.

There are a few examples of decay in the Dec 13th set and look closely here at the roofline, cornices, and balconies:

The paint is peeling already! These building need to be renovated every 7 years, not every 15. That said, TA is an awesome and real city with soul, unlike some other other cities in the ME, which shall go unnamed.

(Doing great, Dean. Thanks for asking. )
