nice photo thread I hope you had a great time in our capital city.
Tell us please what did you like the most, and what you didn't like? Can you compare Zagreb with other cities you've visited?

the interesting thing about this sculpture and the planets is that they create an exact proportional copy of the Solar system. The distances of the planets from the Sun and their size are proportional to the real Solar system..

the pictures of the planets are here:

Não, só aquecido
Zagreb is a very nice place. The cities I could compare it... well it has some american style organization with the long and straight avenues we have to walk on. Liubliana is very different, more concentrated, with smaller streets and easier to walk in.
I don't remind of anything I didn't like in Zagreb... maybe everything closed during the night. We arrived at 4am and I wanted to go to the toilet and it was closed. The city is beautiful and has lots to do and visit. It was disappointing to pay 4 kunas for the funicular for such a short and fast trip down the hill. Ah and we heard of the Hansel and Graetel house but didn't see any advertising to it...
There's a small sanctuary in a tunnel, in the middle of the city, I don't know the name of, it was interesting to see.
Croats are nice and most of them speak English, which is good for us who don't understand the language apart from hvala, pivo, kava and that stuff. Ah something disappointing: not many postcards and most of them were quite boring. And there are no souvenirs apart from keyrings and croatian flags. I wanted a creative tshirt but I just saw the national team one...

some Zagreb nightlife. I loved the street with the bars, so cute houses and bars. We went to the Funk Club, the waitress is hot

apethizer para a catedral

excelente

perdidos? então fiquem mais ainda

eu sei, eu sei, és a linda por... ah... croata com quem eu não quero casar...

conceito croata de tshirt turística

bem, o imageshack tá doido e eu tenho sono, amanhã meto mais fotos!! Catedral on its way!!

yeah, we're also pretty much disappointed with that. Zagreb is "dead" after midnight, which is really bad.

Well, Zagreb developed as an industrial city and that's why there is not much to offer to the tourists. Zagreb is very similar to other Central European cities, especially in terms of city architecture, but as you probably seen, many facades are still in in a bad condition, and there's much work to do. zagreb has a lot of potential and I hope city will show it's best after the complete renovation is done.

It will be reconstructed for quite some time... it was made out of this specific stone which requires hard work and loads and loads of time because every single stone is being replaced. 10-20 years seems a long from this perspective, but if you put it in historical perspective, its well worth it.
