There's absolutely no information on the one below - so I'm assuming it's just a proposal.
Residential real estate development:

I love the bank in Dire Dawa! Great find!

That link is an absolute goldmine! I wish we knew the status of the buildings (i.e. are they just proposals?).

Yeah there are tons of pictures but no info. I think it's a mix of proposals and projects that are u/c.

Oromia Presidential Office, council office and conventional hall

Quote:
The construction of the presidential office of the Oromia Regional State and six other buildings that was awarded to Afro Tsion Construction Company in July 2010, for 274.8 million Br, in kebele 01, Nefas Silk Lafto District, is to start on October 11, 2010, after having been delayed.
...
The design of the project, which has done by Ultimate Consulting Engineers and Architects for free, includes a presidential office building, an assembly hall, and four medium and small conference halls. The projected cost of the assembly hall, 101 million Br, requires the lion’s share of the total projected cost of 274.8 million Br, while the council office takes the second highest at 56.2 million Br.

Ultimate and Afro Tsion are not new to the construction projects of the Oromia urban Works Bureau with the former also having designed four buildings of the Oromia Regional Government Sectoral office and the latter constructing them for 85 million Br. - Source

These Oromia region people piss me off! They spend millions building offices in Nazareth, and then abandon that and start building all over again in Addis. This is so wasteful!

Oh wow, these looks quite snazzy, especially the Dire Dawa one; if you notice the podium at the corner is evocative of the head branch in Addis.

Don't think I like it, looks too jumbled up. My favorite parliament building is Sri Lanka's, simple and traditional.

They've spoken on how they want to have Addis as their capital, and have had offices there for some time, and I suppose that now that they will be building the Nazret-Addis highway it won't be such a problem. I've felt that the Oromia regional parliament ought to move to the old Parliament building when they move out.

Are you kidding me! That parliament building in Sri Lanka looks like a madbet in Kera....lol

On the other hand, I think the future parliemnt building should be larger and more dominant towards the city's cityscape. The design, I think' is very attractive though.

LOL Blame it on Meles. He gives and takes as he pleases. Meles giveth the capital to Oromia Regional State during election season, and Meles taketh away when it's no longer politically expedient. We are now in the Meles giveth stage again.

Hopefully, they'll stick to it this time.

It might be from an exhibition that was held in October (November?) 2010 to showcase what students in TVETs are doing.
