Let's Sketch Jakarta and Indonesia Up !!! 4.0Post anything related to 3D models on Google Earth. ![]() Link to previous thread : Let's Sketch Jakarta Up! Let's Sketch Jakarta and Indonesia Up !!! 2.0 Let's Sketch Jakarta and Indonesia Up !!! 3.0 What’s this thread about? This thread is a place where you can meet Indonesian 3D modeler on Google Earth. And a place to share our 3D model creation. Who are we? We are group of peoples who interested in 3d models. We create 3d models using Google Sketchup, and then we ‘placed’ our REAL 3d models (buildings, bridges, statues, monuments, etc) on Google Earth. If our creation qualified to be featured in Google Earth, they can be viewed by every single user in this world using Google Earth. Why create 3d models on Google Earth? Simply because we like it. We like building, architecture, geography, engineering, geography, photography and art. Google Earth is really the answer to our fondness. And more, our creation can be viewed by millions of users. A single 3d building in Google Earth, for example, can be clicked over 30 clicks daily. It means, our names appear 30 times daily. Being (a bit) famous on the net also a side effect from our activity :P. Sometimes, people who are interested to our models asked us (or one of us) to make their buildings. Why model 3d buildings in Indonesia? Of course, because we live in our beloved country. So much tall skyscraper to build, so much elegant colonial buildings to reserve, so much historical sites to remember, and so much of everything. We love this country. That’s it. What’s Google Sketchup? You can use Google SketchUp to create, modify and share 3D models. What’s Google Earth? Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean. You can explore rich geographical content, save your toured places, and share with others. What’s 3D Warehouse? The Google 3D Warehouse is a free, online repository where you can find, share, store, and collaborate on 3D models. The easiest way to share your model of a place with the millions of Google Earth users is to upload it to the Google 3D Warehouse.

Yeah, my Bank Mega is there too.
I could be going crazy, but Mas Sis, aren't Palm court Apts facing Gatot, I mean, should they not be rotated 90 degrees? Trying to look for photos, but I pass it regularly, and thought of building them. But, then again...I might be going crazy. About the meeting, anywhere is fine with me, but TMII is a bit far for me. Mahal Taxi-nya. How about some place we can also take some pictures again? Will leave the place up to you. |

Btw, I have some pretty good pics of Setia Budi Residence, and I'm ready to make it, but GE is too far behind.
I did not really understand your guide about how to use bina tata. If you have time, please prepare a SKP with the ground view in the right rotation. I would be forever grateful

Thank you so much Mas Sis, hate to have wasted your time, but I followed your guide, and tried to think, instead of follow.
Did it, and made it. Just have no idea what the back side looks like. In Bina Tata it looks like brick and glass, but I just made it glass. Just for now. After it's already accepted (PD BGT) I will change the rear side. |

I think back side not so much different. Also no body complain if the texture is wrong. If me, I just use the front side texture.. finish.
