The photo below is pretty accurate. Note the glass on the base, much less blue. Not entirely sure if the color is coming from the angle towards the sky, or if it is seperate types of glass.

That facade is something very fresh, finally someone has brought something not so serious to Chicago skyline...

Looks like about another 40' feet needed to be added to the core, at least from the top of the scaffold to reach the roof + that high glass parapet/screen.

Is it just me or is there a huge bias against american skyscrapers on this forum? No reason a building like this isn't followed closer.

But thank you for the pics Chitown! You are an exception.

^I was thinking the same thing when I noticed this had only 7,000 views while places like hamburg got 100,000 views for shorter buildings...

I'm talking about American skyscrapers in general, the only ones followed close are WTC 1, Devon, WTC 4 and Carnegie. While skyscraperpage has buildings in Denver, Salt Lake City, Milwaukee and all over the place that are followed very closely. It just seems that this forum is dominated by people who don't care about American skyscrapers as much as foreign ones. And how is this building normal? The design is normal but the function isn't, it's basically a whole university built into one building! That's something that's never been done before that I can remember.

And this building isn't normal btw?
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1159815, it's followed closer than this one in Chicago.
