Beast at Kings Island will always be one of my favorite coasters. The way the thing goes tearing through the forest is so awesome, but the damn lift hill is SO slow! It has me nearly peeing myself with excitement before it gets to the top.

The Georgia Cyclone at Six Flags in Atlanta is another fun coaster, but it's rough as hell. If you can stand having your kidneys punched and teeth nearly knocked out, you'll love it!

I love The Beast. It was one of my first true roller coasters that I rode and always went on it atleast 5 times every time I visited Kings Island. I also went on the Son of Beast too and thought it didn't beat or compare to The Beast, even when it had the loop.

I didn't get to ride SoB when it had the loop, but I wasn't very impressed with it. It's big, just not that exciting. The last I heard it was not operating, and KI was not saying when or even if it would run again.

Here's you another coaster, Lucky. El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. I've not ridden it yet, but it looks like an awesome ride! I love me some wooden coasters.

How did I post youtube clip here so I see them as you post them. And I hate rides with loops!

"The patriot" on "World of fun"

Kraken, Seaworld Orlando

Manta, Sea World Orlando

The Hulk coaster, Universal Studios Island of Adventure

They have a lot of roller coasters in america which are named after cartoon characters such as Hulk coaster , Batman The ride (six flags magic mouintan) ,Superman The Escape (six flags magic mouintan). What comes next? The Phantom coaster? Spiderman coaster? Mac gyver coaster? James Bond coaster?

Wow that is a lot of new roller coasters in the past decade. Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA changed a lot since last time I went there. Need to come back and check it out.

I don't get Sea World... They didn't invest much in the one in San Diego, CA while they did a lot to the one in Orlando, Florida. San Diego has perfect weather and attracts a lot of tourists. Why can't they invest it in San Diego too?

Isn't the one in San Diego more restricted by land than the one in Orlando? They may not have much room to really do much there.

Probably has to do with the firce competition for tourist dollars in Orlando.

Getting anything built in Mission Bay (where Sea World SD is located), let alone any coastal area is difficult. The Atlantis ride took them forever and a day to get done because it had to get approved by the city, neighboring residents and community groups, environmental regulators and probably (not too sure) the California Coastal Commission. They simply can't build as quickly in SD like they can in Orlando and San Antonio. I have a friend who works at Sea World and I've heard some rumors of it either closing (unlikely) or adding a coaster (where the Anheiser Busch horses and beer garden used to be).

And the comment about increased competition in Orlando is definitely a factor as well. Sea World SD has the Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Legoland and Belmont Park (tiny amusement park on the beach) to compete with. They're all pretty much on the same caliber in my opinion...
