Some pics of the renewd maquette Arena area.

Pictures are made by Dr. Dubai.

The bright white building in the middel (Last picture left)is the renewd GETZ entertainment center with a new tower of approximately 130 meter. The other high towers are the 150 meter Arena residential tower and the 150 meter Arena office tower. In the foreground you can see the new Arena train/metro station (U/C).

The thing is all offices used to be located in the old city centre. Even with the "bad economy" all companies are moving from the city centre towards the new area´s.
These area´s are "the Arena", "Sloterdijk" and "the Zuidas". Their are also smaller locations like the east side of the Highway ring west and the Omval(near Amstel train station)
These locations have better public transport(metro) and are near the major highways. Along with the stimulation of the central city to intensivy the usage of ground their is alot of construction going on.
The Dutch government also wants more homes inside Amsterdam which made it a real building boom.
I have heart some ppl say that in Amsterdam there are the most project U/C or in development, residental and commercial. Its even beats Berlin
