Watching from Melbourne Australia...........visited Amsterdam in 2000 and loved your city ...........the old city and the new areas.Interesting architecture down near the Ajax Arena. And around the docklands,The combination of preservation and incorporation into new development should be a lesson to the wider world. Love it!!!! hope to visit again some time. Prost ? I think ?

Amsterdam was the first city I visited in Europe and I found it historically, artistically and culturally overwhelming, for some reason

even more so than Paris, London and Berlin but just barely of course. And yet I hear people who think of it merely as an airport hub with tourism. It's role in modern times is too often forgotten so it's nice to see it's not too old to still show off -- go Amsterdam

I hope that the Getz entertaiment centre in this shape will be built, but the project may be cancelled because of the casino I heard. There's a law in the Netherlands, that prescribes that a city in Holland only can have one Hollland Casino. Amsterdam has already one, so I hope there won't be too much trouble around the project.

Amsterdam Arena area is booming, stunning architecture, and lots of highrises. the plans now includes 2 towers of 150 meters, and one tower of 130 meter for the coming years, and there are already alot of highrises up to 100 meter.
