Mozambique & Tanzania Open Unity Bridge


PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete (left) and Mozambican President Armando Emilio Guebuza cutting the ribbon officially opening Umoja Bridge, joining the two countries. The bridge's inauguration ceremony was held at Mtambaswala on part of Tanzania and Nagonmane in Mozambique yesterday

This bridge was the brain child of the Late Mwalimu Nyerere & the Late President Samora Machel of Mozambique

From which point does the Umoja Bridge connect the 2 countries?

BTW between this one, Mkapa bridge (across Rufiji river) and the proposed Malagarasi and Kigamboni bridges which of the four will be the longest? Can someone post more pictures of Mkapa bridge?
