I was just there for 5 days and I must say it was very impressive, especially Old Town, Lazienky Park (Saski and Krasinski too). The Chopin Museum is a must-see, must high-tech museum I have ever seen. Don't let the area around the train station where you will probably arrive turn you off.

What else impressed you? What kind of vibe does the city have when comparing to other cities?
Any signs of renovations at that train station?

The city as most Polish cities has a young vibe, younger than two years ago. Looks like old people are finally retiring and making room for young. Old train station is not in bad shape, have seen worse. Renovations should be starting shortly. Really miss the parks and the older parts, but new areas are being built to a high design standard too.

I stayed with family mostly, so it was just airfare...and food and entertainment in Poland is super cheap.
