Pocharam village is at the outskirts of Hyderabad on the warangal route.I did not find any mall there.except for few residential apts building (Only few are occupied) there is no other activity.Infosys has been given land by the state govt at this location but construction is yet to start.

That building is not Inorbit... But i think its some mall name "The Village" being developed by Raheja's in the Mindspace there.

Pocharam is where Sanskruti(Singapore) Township was built 5 or 6 years back.. Its on Warangal Highway around 15 odd Km from Uppal.. The highway(NH 202) is 4 lane till this township.. After that i think NHAI has given the 4 laning of this highway till Warangal to some private company.

Future Group to have 4 more Big Bazaar stores in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug. 3

Future Group is setting up eight Big Bazaar stores in Andhra Pradesh, including four more in Hyderabad by end of March 2011.

The group currently has five Big Bazaar large format stores in the city. One of its stores in Ameerpet has logged revenues of Rs 103 crore, which is amongst the highest revenue generating stores in its chain, according to Mr Silas Paul, Unit head, Future Value Retail Ltd, Hyderabad.

By September, we will add two more stores in Hyderabad and add four by March 2011, thereby, taking the number to nine in Hyderabad. One of the stores is coming at a place where two movie theatres have been converted to Big Bazaar stores. This will also have multiplexes,” he said.

Other four Big Bazaar stores are coming up at Guntur, Tirupathi, Kurnool and Nellore.

“The recently launched T24 mobile facility in Hyderabad has caught up with people. We have added about 38,000 subscribers,” he said.

The Head of Private Brands, Future group, Mr. Devendra Chawla, said that Future Group is set to add its range of private brands in the food and beverages and FMCG section.

“Our store experience shows that private brands have expanded the customer base. This is particularly true in the case of food and food related items. With the launch of Ektaa branded rice in five variants in Andhra Pradesh, we will further consolidate our private brand offerings,” he told Business Line.

Hypercity Hyderabad logs Rs 100-cr biz in first year

Hypercity Hyderabad has announced the completion of its one year of operations in the city with sales of over Rs 100 crore and has planned three more stores in the city within 12 months. Its stores in the IT hub in Madhapur displays over 44,000 products sourced from local and global markets. Mr Ashutosh Chakradeo, Head-Buying, Merchandising and Supply Chain, in a statement said the concept of Hypermarket has picked up and the company plans to grow the market. — Our Bureau

Malls directed to allot 40% parking space - Source DC

Hyderabad, Aug. 14: All establishments in the city that are visited by a large number of people, such as malls, mutiplexes, hospitals and commercial complexes will have to provide 40 per cent of the total built up area for parking space or else they will be sealed.

If the required space isn’t available within the premises, then space should be hired or purchased at a nearby location to provide parking for visitors.

In compliance with the directions of the Lok Ayukta, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, in co-ordination with the traffic police, has started inspecting such places to see if the management has adhered to the parking space rules. The corporation had recently received flak from the Lok Ayukta for not taking action against parking space violations in commercial establishments.

Due to inadequate parking space in malls and other commercial establishments, people have been parking their vehicles on the roads, causing perennial and irritating traffic jams.

“The GHMC and the traffic police are conducting the inspections. We will complete the inspections shortly and give time to the establishments to provide the required parking space as per the rules. Under Section 636 of the HMC Act,1955, we can close the establishments for failure to provide adequate parking space," said the additional commissioner of the GHMC, Mr K. Dhanunjaya Reddy.

While officials of the GHMC are focussing on the inspection of commercial establishments, the traffic police is identifying locations that face regular traffic jams, and the civic body is vested with the responsibility of initiating action against establishments that violate the rules

Arvind Ltd launches 'first-of-its-kind' retail concept in Hyderabad

Arvind Limited, the textile conglomerate and one of the leading apparel retailers, recently launched a new exclusive brand outlet (EBO) concept – The Arvind Store – in Hyderabad. The store, a 'first-of-its-kind' retail concept by the Ahmedabad-based textile retailer, claims to bring together the best of custom tailoring and ready-made apparel.

Talking about the new initiative, Sanjay Lalbhai, chairman and managing director, Arvind Ltd, said, "We are introducing the 'first-of-its-kind' retail concept as part of our aggressive expansion strategy. We plan to increase the number of outlets in the state to 20 by the end of this fiscal.”

Vaishnavi Gold, a leading jewellery house, today announced its aggressive expansion plans for Hyderabad looking at Rs 200-crore turnover in the current fiscal.

Upcoming malls in hyderabad

Esplanade Mall by RMZ Corporation: The mall at Banjara Hills will house spaces for branded retail outlets and offices. It will be complete by December 2010.

Club 4 Mall by ASCO Group: This 2-acre mall opposite Secunderabad Club will provide spaces for retail outlets, designer boutiques, showrooms, entertainment zone, restaurants and food courts. It will complete by May 2010.

Ashoka Scintilla by Ashoka Developers & Builders Ltd: This 40,000 sq ft mall at Himayat Nagar will provide spaces for branded retail outlets and offices. It will complete by June 2009.

Madhucon Mega Mall by the Madhucon Group: This mall on 5.32 acre at Kukatpally will comprise spaces for hypermarkets, retail outlets, food courts, a 7-screen multiplex with 1,600 seats and entertainment zone. It will be complete by December 2010.

Exclusive jewellery mall in city soon

Hyderabad: Traditional jewellery designers are planning to build a mall exclusively for jewellery at Somajiguda in the next few months.

The mall will be spread across 10,000 sft. And will be the first of its kind in the State. The company is also launching its exclusive showroom at Kukatpally. “Given to the vibrant tastes of jewellery in the twin cities, we have decided to setup a mall which will cater to all kinds of tastes. The stores will have different kinds of jewellery right from traditional to contemporary designs,” said Mr. Prakash. Apart from their own flagship store in the mall, jewellery from other brands such as Tanishq, Gitanjali, Nakshatra and D'damas will also be available. “We want to cater to people with all kinds of budgets. Our jeweller store will offer jewellery pertaining to international standards which include specifically designed Italian and domestic designs for high and low budgets,” Mr. Prakash said. The company is also planning to open up outlets in Dilsukhnagar, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam apart from setting up a manufacturing facility in Secunderabad. “Our facility in Secunderabad will be setup at the cost of Rs.34 crore and will have a manufacturing capacity of four kgs of jewellery per day.

Prestige Group plans big in Hyderabad

The project will have exclusive villas priced in the range of Rs 1.8 crore and Rs 4.4 crore

Hyderabad, Sept 28

The Prestige Group, one of the leading property developers in South India, today outlined its plans to enter the Hyderabad market with a Rs 140-crore Royal Woods housing project and a Rs 380-crore mega mall coming up in partnership with the Hyderabad-based Sujana group and Capita Land of Singapore.

The Senior Vice President of the Prestige Group, Mr Swaroop Anish, told Business Line the housing project in Hyderabad is coming up along the Outer Ring Road project on way to the new international airport in a 25-acre green site.

The project will have exclusive villas priced in the range of Rs. 1.8 crore and Rs. 4.4 crore.

Target customers

“The project is targeted at young couples , senior business executives and businessmen who are looking at exclusive residential projects wherein they can relax after a busy day's schedule. We have consciously decided not to have any apartments in this venture,” he said.

The company has, thus far, completed about 150 projects with a total built-up area of 34 million sq.ft.

“We are developing another 57 million sq.ft across various cities in South.

Venture with Sujana

The company had earlier entered into a pact with the Sujana group to develop a mega mall with an investment of Rs 380 crore.

The project is being executed in partnership with Capita Land, a company that specialises in developing malls.

This project, coming up in a four-acre site, will have about 8 lakh square feet.
