Grafton and Taree Pictures - May trip pt 1
OK, I'm back from my 2 week road trip between Brisbane and Melbourne, lots of photos taken, will probably take me a week or so to post them all since I'm back to work tomorrow. Expect to see Newcastle, Illawarra Coast, Bega, Merimbula, Eden, Orbost, Lakes Entrance, Sale, Moe, Point Nepean, Melbourne, Glenrowan, Albury, Temora, Parkes, Tamworth, Glen Innes and Wallangarra soon.
Grafton ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this bridge in Grafton the only 2 level road, rail and pedestrian bridge in Australia? I can't think of any other. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Taree ![]() ![]()

Good set of photos. I take the Grafton shots were taken last Sunday as the main street appears so deserted.
The mobile phone tower looks alot like the 'Panadol Tower' at Waverley in Sydney, much smaller of course. The Grafton Bridge as photographed was opened in 1932, the same year as the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is a bascule bridge, which can be opened to tall ships, however it was sealed in 1969 and no longer can be opened.

I did say it was from a road trip between Brisbane and Melbourne, and it's part one, I have also listed each other location along the way in order if that helps your geography.
These were all 2 weeks ago, and yes it was a Sunday. |
