Pictures you could virtually look at for hours. There are so many historical, and even nostalgiac details.

Gotta disagree. As with anywhere, there are losses, but from what I can see Times Sq is much better today.

You really don't think this is more beautiful than what we have today?

Too many beautiful buildings were raced in favor of ugly boxes, I prefer the New York skyline until 1939.

What's important is that we've passed the era of the worst architecture that reigned between 1960 and 1990. Modern skyscrapers of the last decade compliment, in my opinion, the rest of the architectural ensemble.

I agree with the last comment.

I'm not saying that isn't beautiful, but there's a vibrancy there now that wasn't there then. I mean there are plenty of streets in New York that have great architecture like that.

My Dad used to live in NY, then he moved to Boston, then LA... now he and his American wife are retiring in the Greek islands.

I used to quite enjoy coming to visit him in NY.

WOW, it's amazing how much things have changed since the 70s and 80s. I love Times Sqaure!

Times Square is the only area in NY that requires buildings display illimunited signs? Hmm, I think it'd be neat if that ordinance was expanded beyond Times Square...
