Some well and truly outdated pictures, but I would vote like this;

1. Melbourne
2. Sydney
3. Gold Coast/Brisbane
4. Perth

Yeah, Australia is such a huge and great country with so many impressive skylines that we need at least 3 threads about Australia's best skyline...

They all look great.....not knocking Gold Coast but in that pic Q1 is so dominant yet it is really only about the same height as Rialto...so lots of small buildings there....just shows how bulkier Campus style city office buildings compare in proportion with slim accommodation blocks on the coast.Sydney has to look beautiful with the Harbour, Bridge and Opera House yet showing only the north end of the CBD scales up the skyline....If the Perth shot was just the left end it would look full of scrapers, Melbournes has it's tallest buildings in the far distance so they just blend into the density.........photograghs can hide or display things.........It's hard to compare Skylines from a few pics....they are all great cities.

Sydney is years ahead of the others. No other Australian city has density that comes close to that of Sydney. Sure, we have height restrictions, but we have 6 buildings over 200 and the height limit is 235 to roof. Thats pretty good.
