Surprised this hasn't been posted on here. There was a great photo update on Curbed the other day with more details about the design:

I walked by on 25 July 2012, and excavators were at work digging the site. This tower, together with Mercedes House, the BIG Pyramid, and 56 Leonard, are utter masterpieces.

According to a rendering from the first page this building will have it's own entrance to the 6 train station on 28st corner. That's pretty cool in my opinion.

I like the new glass better than this frosted glass that originally was proposed.

This area is filled with stunning per-war towers. This, together with One Madison, will provide nice contrasts to the grandiose old towers.

I hope the tower will appear silvery like in the latest renders, like the Fortress of Solitude (It kinda looks like it, too) instead of the ugly green.
