I went with Aqua for its interesting façade. The second best, IMO, is the BoA Tower.

Best skyscraper out of those 5: Trump. How many skyscrapers (200 m+) were completed in 2009? Surely there were more than 5.

Even though I live in Mexico City and the St. Regis is a gorgeous building--inside and out--I had to go with Aqua. It's so unique. Trump's design is very classic and its location can't be beat. But I still like Aqua more.

I don't understand how St. Regis has so many votes. To me it's clearly the worst of the 5. That's not so say it's bad, but compared to the other choices...

Am I missing something here?

The worst is China World Trade Center III. Very simple, nothing special.

The best... Aqua.

The field is a bit US-biased. Still I suppose that reflects the readership demography. My vote would be for Shanghai World Financial Centre.

Aqua is great, but Trump Tower is all that a skyscraper should be.

I don't get it either. Perhaps, people who are voting for it can chime in on why it's better than the other 4. St. Regis is ok, but better than the others?
