I think, HMDA is in the process of finalising the notification of master plan 2031 probably, by next month.

AP Govt to sort out issues faced by IT majors

The new facility of Wipro Technologies at the Special Economic Zone in Manikonda.

The Andhra Pradesh Government has taken a special initiative to look into the major problems being faced by the top information technology companies in their expansion plans.

A delegation headed by its IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah visited the campuses of Wipro, TCS and Cognizant on Friday to discuss their expansion plans, and various issues that are coming in the way in taking them up.

“I have noticed that they are facing issues in infrastructure development within and outside their campuses. We would like to listen to them and make efforts to solve the issues,” he said.

“The IT companies that were allotted land in the areas such as Manikonda, Adibhatla and Gopannapalli areas had outlined various issues such as power, water and road infrastructure,” the Minister said. Widening of road from Raviriyal village to Adibhatla from two lanes to four lanes for TCS and Cognizant) and widening of road from Manikonda village to Gopannapalli from two lane to four lane (for Wipro), were some of the issues that were highlighted by the IT companies. The total projected employment in the next 2-3 years TCS and Cognizant is over 60,000 at their Adibhatla campuses. “The companies have asked the Minister to address the last mile connectivity as well,” a Ministry official said.

The Minister had directed the officials of various departments to study the issues and solve them in a time-bound manner.

An article about problems faced by Wipro's Gopanapally campus

IT giants wait long for campus infrastructure
DC | 14 hours 39 sec ago

Hyderabad: IT giants, like Wipro Technologies with campus in Gopanapalli, TCS and Cognizant Technologies in Adibatla, and Fabcity in Maheswaram have been facing issues relating to road connectivity, drinking water, power supply as well as transportation for the last two to five years. Officials have approached IT minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah to resolve their issues pertaining to infrastructure facilities.

Following the pleas of the IT giants, Lakshmaiah made field visits to the four campuses on Friday.

The Wipro campus is yet to complete Phase I, despite the land being allotted in 2007, due to various delays. The campus is yet to be provided with Manjeera drinking water supply. Due to lack of proper transportation facilities, the companies have been running private buses to transport staff.

Widening of the Raviriyal-Adibatla and Manikonda-Gopanpalli roads, which are crucial for the IT campuses, have been pending with APIIC and roads and buildings department for a year now.

The minister has now set a deadline of February end 2013 for both the approach roads to be completed.

Where is Raviryal-Adibatla road? Do you mean Bongulur-Adibatla road, this is already 2-lane dont think 4-lane is needed for now. What do they mean by transport facilities? bus transport? Raviryal already has good connectivity with APSRTC Charminar bus stand. However dont think there is bus service near Gopanpally/Gowlidody. From the location given by Prodigist looks like Wipro is near Gowlidody. It will be great if along with Manikonda-Gopanpalli (part of RR), the entire Nallagandla-Gandipet road (labelled in Google as Kanchi Gacchibowli Road) is widened to 4-lane

The land alloted to Wipro has by far the best infra. And I think they are just giving excuses for not doing anything there. I dont see them waiting anywhere else for drinking water supply to commence to begin the construction activity.

I had gone to Shamshabad recently. The land alloted to Brahmani is between Point Indu and the Airport road. There is a board outside this building that says "Mantri Tech Parks" and I could see a few people(Not more than 5) working here.

Curiously Indu TechZone which is supposed to be an operational SEZ had no human being anywhere inside.

thanks prodigist for the information and update.INDU has long stopped the construction, don't think they are even considering to proceed with the project.did they complete the construction of that one building.i am surprised to know of any kind of activity at brahmani.the whole project in mess with mantri going to court.

just amazing that these companies even after getting the prime land for allmost free, does not even want to invest to earn profits and govt does not want to take back the land.
did you see any activity on raheja mind space south.

That building is still in the same sorry state.

Sorry didn't go towards Mindspace but you could clearly see a 3 storey building in one of the airport landing videos posted here.

60,000 employees in 2-3 years, that cant be true. i think they want connectivity of adibatla towards airport and srisailam hi way , probably is the reason for the request

Guyz, Brahmani IT SEZ (Co-developer-Mantri) is as good as scrapped. It's just a matter of time before this SEZ gets de-notified by Central govt and they return the prime land to state govt. Hope they return it soon as this land can be given to an other good IT firm or bid for commercial purposes or be kept with govt. for future use.

Regarding Raheja mind space south, My guess is that, since they are already building Mind space East @ Pocharam, they would try to finish this one first before they go all out to build Mindspace south, probably 2-3 years from now.

And I have no idea about Point Indu SEZ, whether they are gonna scrap/get de-notified and return the land to govt. or continue the SEZ in future. Hope they decide it soon.

Business Beacon also collects updates from various news sources, so I wouldn't be surprised if that update was based on the news article.

Cognizant's Adibatla campus update: Ah! They are still dealing with the re-orientation of their SEZ land. I thought they already started construction like TCS' campus. Hope, they would start building their facility soon..

Acceptance of their request for re-orientation:

All the job postings on their website are for their Orion office. So maybe they are closing down their Waverock office.
