weird, personally i believe sweds have it right. contemporary architecture's fine but it outdates quickly so it's definitely not suitable for an european city downtown as buildings aren't exactly replaceable. architecture concernes more than the building itself, it regards the space it's being built on and the area it will be standing at. city planning offices across europe should seriously begin to acknowledge landscape as a long term project if they actually care their cities to be the most livable they can.

I think that all European capitals are great, no other continent has so many wonderful countries and cities so close to each other. But if i have to choose:

Rome
Paris
London

I have no idea, because I have yet only visited three of them, including Berlin, where I live.

Prague, Paris, Berlin.

Eh, you're not the first one and certainly not the last one who misread it

About the capitals; I've only been to 4 of them so far, and London has impressed me most.
Rome has magnificent architectural heritage but somehow its city atmosphere wasn't so appealing to me. Zagreb is nice and I like it though could hardly be proclaimed as Europe's most beautiful. Ljubljana is a lovely city but I find it difficult to compare it with big European metropolises...

i'm aware of what a capital is, the point was - no need to take titles too literally in the internet.

Awesome; let's talk about screwdrivers as well, what you think?

Screwdrivers FTW!

---

Is it so hard to stick to the topic? There's already a thread about the most beautiful european cities, no need to extend this debate here.

i think it's adorable that u just learnt what a screwdriver is u couldn't wait to use the word, however, i sense a small difference between threadbenders and a subtle topic twist.

You do? Oh gosh, perhaps I should keep my Merrian-Webster always at hand... you know, since I no falar bien el inglés Maybe you could give some lessons, what'ya think huh, Hemingway?

Now, I would be very appreciative if you could take these useless comments of yours elsewhere and let the thread run its course, mmkay?

Back to the 'bestest' European capitals...

Well, since we're derailing this topic, does anybody find it creepy that the above poster's username is "BARNEY LOVE" and that he has an avatar of a naked little boy?
