Dear friends, tomorrow is the big day! The announcement of the winning project will be done at 15:30 by the mayor of Bordeaux, Alain Juppé. In Bordeaux, the communication campaign has already begun. A model of the stadium will be exposed at the city town hall from July 19 th. ![]() ![]() A little summary of the project (french): http://www.bordeaux.fr/ebx/portals/e...ndard&id=54031 Recall : Capacity : 43.000 to 45.000 Cost : 173 M€ provided, but more surely arround 200 M€ Location : Bordeaux-Lac (North of the city) ![]()

The interior looks pretty boring, whilst the exterior (all those roof support posts) is just a copy of the new stadium in Brasilia.

Thinking about it, the exterior is pretty much what Herzog & de Meuron had planned for the new Portsmouth stadium. Ah, lazy architects.

i prefer the porsthmouth version . It has curves. Bordeaux is just about straight lines

the stadium is scheduled for 2015 then we assume it needs at least 2 years of works (and more due to the soile works)
Then by end of 2012-debut 2013
