Dear friends, tomorrow is the big day!
The announcement of the winning project will be done at 15:30 by the mayor of Bordeaux, Alain Juppé.

In Bordeaux, the communication campaign has already begun. A model of the stadium will be exposed at the city town hall from July 19 th.

A little summary of the project (french):

Recall :
Capacity : 43.000 to 45.000
Cost : 173 M€ provided, but more surely arround 200 M€
Location : Bordeaux-Lac (North of the city)

The interior looks pretty boring, whilst the exterior (all those roof support posts) is just a copy of the new stadium in Brasilia.

Thinking about it, the exterior is pretty much what Herzog & de Meuron had planned for the new Portsmouth stadium. Ah, lazy architects.

i prefer the porsthmouth version . It has curves. Bordeaux is just about straight lines

Positive thing it has steep tribunes

the stadium is scheduled for 2015 then we assume it needs at least 2 years of works (and more due to the soile works)

Then by end of 2012-debut 2013

Ok, it is perhaps nice. But it is a little too "modern" for me. But I agree that it will be very différent compare to other. Let's wait.
