congratulations for the photos are gorgeous!
You made a really nice spot for our city that unfortunately in this period is described always wrong!
thanks for not having made the usual stereotypes of Naples that pizza and mandolin Pulcinella.
I hope you return soon to visit us!

For instance, there is Mount Vesuvius, Pompeii, Ercolano, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens, Herculaneum, Paestum, Amalfi Coast, as well as all of the Piazza's, Museums and Castles.
I wanted to visit Paestum, Im very much into ancient ruins, and some of the tombs there have fantastic frescoes, I dont know whether those tombs are open to the public though! Anyway eventually I decided to explore Naples properly(ish) instead of rushing round like a fool and not seeing anything at all!

Thanks.

Napolitans are anything but pessimistic!

Nice pictures. I've always hated it because it was chaotic, anarchic and sometimes dirty. Now I love it because it is charmingly chaotic, anarchic and sometimes dirty.

Looks nice and genuine! The streets look nice.
I think the galleria is even older then the one in Milan.
I like the CBD as well (the buildings, not the district), Naples is the Italian city with the largest no of skyscrapers.
I have heard that it is so dangerous to walk in the city that you have to go in company with armed guides, I think that sounds a bit exaggarated. What do you think about that, is it really that dangerous to walk the street as a tourist?

Oh my!

I could be a bit biased, because I'm neapolitain, but having to walk around in Naples with armed guides seems to me more on the urban legend side than a simple exaggeration!
It's definitely not a war zone!

In Naples there is some minor crime, such as pickpocketing or robbery, but much less than in other big towns in the occidental world. Even in some unsafe neighborhoods, the worst that can happen to you is a bag-snatching or a hoax by a street vendor. I've never heard of bad aggressions to tourists, and, as a Lawyer, I think I know what I'm saying.

Don't fear urban legends and pay a visit to Naples, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Where did you hear that? I think that even in Tijuana or Rio walking around with armed guards would be something of an overkill!

Naples is a perfectly safe city and as long as you dont lose your common sense youll be fine. I explored Quartieri Spagnoli (supposedly one of the scariest and most dangerous areas of the city) and took a shortcut through Piazza Mercato and guess what.....nothing happened and I lived to tell the tale. I suspect that youd even survive a trip to Scampia, but I wouldnt recommend it!

Thanks!

nice city and it reminds me of the song "funicule funicula".
the Umberto gallery is quite similar to the one in Milan.
thanks for the photo tour.
