this design is not really bad, but compared to the old one it sucks ass, because the old one is freaking amazing

this looks spectacular. truly amazing building. i love the contrast with the light blueish main sides rising up then the dark bits on a slope where they have been like cut away from the tower.

The new render looks like 1WTC in New York
The 2nd render looks like Shanghai World Financial Center.
So the 1st render is the most normal (and best) deisgn

the new render is kinda cool, but compared to the first render it is a sack of cats. After seeing the first one i do not want anything else to be build, because it is likely to become one of my favorite supertall designs ever

Honestly speaking, I much prefer the new design. The old one looks way too kitsch.

according to NYT: by 2030,China will have 226 cities with 1 million people, compare that with 46 in europe.
giving this frantic pace of construction, China may needed more than 100 nuke power stattion just to power the cities.

Moved to u/c. Will move back to proposals if we find out that those foundation works are for secondary towers only.

I love Dalian. Fastest projects in China, always.
