It is sort of bland, especially next to their beautiful court house.

This is a great project for Columbus. It fits the downtown and the diverse architecture that surrounds it. It also brings more pedestrian space and businesses into the core.

Reminds me a little of the IUPUI campus center

Compared to what the Commons looked like, this is much better.

I'm not sure how up-to-date they are with the work being done right now, but Circle and Squares had a couple reviews of The Commons redevelopment plans a couple years ago.

I went there last weekend and from what I saw, Cummins Office Building/Parking Garage (Jackson Street), Hotel Indigo, are complete. The current pictures of the Commons (Above) is its up-to date status. There is a Parking Garage (South Garage/2nd Street?) to the west of the Courthouse downtown that is structurally (concrete) complete, but it looks like its close to the second phase of wrapping apartments around it. There was no facade on the parking garage, but I found a diagram that is pretty up-to date. I will go take more pictures soon. I am hoping to see the orange and yellow projects (minus The Commons) come to life really soon, and more pics shall follow, I am assuming the dates on the tabs is the status of construction or when construction will start. I am from Indianapolis, but I have been to Columbus several times this year and have family there and I love visiting. I can also post more of the presentation too as well. I am not sure about the link of the presentation...I can try to find that if anyone would like to view it.
