Yeah I wonder why they aren't opening the entire section, weird. also awesome progress on the memorial front going along west street, they finally formed the bend at the corner of liberty and west street and seems any trees that are going there will be coming any time now. Guess they weren't kidding when they said they would be finished with that part by July although isn't the fencing supposed to come down over there this May?

They have doubled the fencing near the north pool for some reason...really odd. However trees are now being planted in the divider on west street!!

the 1st fence ( new) will act as blockage while 2nd fence will be removed by bobcat/forklift (or something in that nature). It will take couple days probably to take 2nd fence off because of concrete barriers.. The first fence can be taken off in matter of hours, and that will happen when area will be open for public.

I also believe there is a small gap in the stone pavers along the current fence that they have to fill in.

Not to mention trees still need to be planted beside of the north pool, along the red lines:

And wow, I don't think I've ever seen the wind blowing the water so much.

Don't the ring of trees around the pools indicate the original towers footprints?

They give the correct dimensions, though not the exact location. Pools are rotated a few degrees.

They moved the fence on the East side of the North pool closer to the pool so they can finish the missing pieces of the floor there.

Also tons of greenery being planted in the West street median.

Is that rust in the middle of the pavilion's roof?

I noticed that as well! It will look just as good or better than the rest of West St. It will be awesome!

They are also moving memorial fencing to the edge of the bollards on liberty street they are almost done...I assume the fencing around the south pool and in front of 4WTC will come down by the time the museum opens since they have been saying it will be freely accessible this Summer...

Landscaping is often overlooked in projects, or gets minimized as a last-minute way of cutting costs. It's good to here that this one is proceeding in a quality way.
