The Earthcam is back up today. It'll probably die again tonight, so I'll post a capture for those who might miss it....

They may be doing more testing like they did last fall. They didn't test the center void then, so perhaps they will this time. Also, testing on the south pool should be very close to happening.

Cladding in the remainder building is being installed. Note the difference between the glass that's now installed in the west side of the Museum and the new ones that are going to be installed in the north/south/east side.

My guess is that those are some curtain wall pieces that belong to the Museum's Pavilion.

Today (4/22) the Earthcam view shows that some tiling evidently has been removed from the center of the north pool. Anyone know the reason for this? (I suspect they might have discovered some kind of leakage issue during the recent testing).

It might not be a leak they might just be removing the tiles around the barrier that blocks the water from going into the middle hole so they can start the second test

Great update, but i have one question.
How possible it is to finish the memorial before the 10th anniversary? As it's seen, the interior is still waiting

The Memorial Plaza and the Museum are two different projects, strongly related, but different. The plaza will be open by September 11, 2011 but the entire musuem will be completed by mid-2013.

The protective covering over the Pavilion's cladding sure makes an interesting pattern. The roof access structure sticks out like a sore thumb.

During a small research I found that these swimp white oak trees that are now on the Memorial Plaza show their leaves normally the first week of May... And we won't be seeing their true color until summer...

This is what these trees should be experimenting right now...

I see water in the South Pool and it's not coming from the clouds.

This project stands for a noble cause. It's beautiful, wonderful and moving. RIP to all lives lost on that terrible day in America's history.

I hope to visit New York again, someday.
