There is always the Tribute in Light. It can be seen for miles I think.

Will the Tribute in Light still be done now that the water falls are here? I think it'd be a neat idea if they put the lights either in or around the pools.

The Tribute in Light searchlights were never assembled at the World Trade Center site, but above a parking garage over the entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel just six blocks south of the WTC. + Since the tribute is a separate public art presentation, it has nothing to do with the NS11M&M. As far as I know there are no plans for the installation of the 88 searchlights by the anniversary.

Aberdeen Mayor Visits NYC 9/11 Memorial

Quote:
...As the leaves change in the fall, the Swamp White Oak ranges from amber to golden brown and even sometimes pink. The trees can grow as tall as 60 feet, and designers hope that the trees will eventually form a canopy over the plaza. The trees will never be identical because of their different growth rates, serving as a physical reminder of living individuals...

The sickly tree near the southwest corner of the south pool has been replaced. On Wednesday they had removed everything around the base, and this morning all is back and the tree is now much fuller and greener:

I hope this grass is tough enough to handle the trampling it's sure to get over the years:

I doubt it. A shame too. It looks real nice after all these years of looking at dirt and concrete. The green is a nice change.

It may be spyware. Scan your system with either or both Spyware S&D or Lavasoft Ad Aware. You might want to scan with AVG's Anti Spyware just in case the other two might miss something.

This may have been mentioned before, but I'd be MORE than happy to pay to enter that museum if I knew the proceeds were going to a fund for the victims families and for the surviving Fireys, Police and pedestrians etc that were engulfed in the dust once the towers came down that day. No doubt in time they too will succumb to the horrors of the attack in the form of mesothelioma, caused by inhaling all the asbestos.

That's right. If that's where the money goes, then I wouldn't have a problem. It just better not end up in the pockets of the rich.
