Unless this is sarcasm and I'm uncapable of seeing it, this statement is obviously false. No where on US soil (therefore including embassies) are you allowed to discriminate d on religion (or lack of) and race. Sexual orientation unfortunately is a work in progress.

Yeah, I was hoping the part that said that one group pays $2 and every one else pays $3 minus $1 would give it away. Also, at the time the member's picture was of a woman with drug paraphernalia. My humor was off. also I ended the first line with "...like any one else."

On topic. Its interesting to see the trees tied like that, it looks very strange.

I am a Muslim and visited the 9/11 memorial last February.

They don't check your religion.

You just have to register on the site and print the ticket and then go through an airport type screening and you are in the memorial.

They are uncovering the places where the trees will go in the northeast section...

Edit: looks like they are preparing the spots for trees very soon??! Also the temporary hatch from after Sandy is open again, wonder what's going on....

The hatch to the museum is still open. they've been lifting all kinds of stuff in or out, i think i saw an escalator the other day. Is this replacements due to Sandy, or was it previously planned?

Could we see the entrance/exit to the plaza move in the near future? I'm wondering since we see the south end finishing up, particularly the SE corner, that once it's finished, they'll want to start on the SW corner. I would guess they'd need to close axis at that point.

It would seem to make sense to have the entrance/exit in the SE corner since 4WTC will also be opening at the end of the year and with it it's accompanying sidewalks too.

Yes I believe so. I asked the same thing a little while back and Otie said that once Tower 4 opens the memorial entrance will move over there...I guess so they can finish that part of West Street and such...

Two pump trucks, but I can't tell what the blue/white one is doing. Perhaps pouring inside some of the holes?

Plans for Ground Zero Arts Hub Shift Again
By ROBIN POGREBIN
Published: March 26, 2013

"When a performing arts center was first planned for the former World Trade Center site, four cultural organizations were chosen after a high-profile competition to anchor a complex that would make ground zero a new and vibrant cultural destination..."

"...only the Joyce Theater, which was to make the proposed center a home for dance as the reigning tenant and to call it the International Dance Center. Now, quietly, the plans have changed yet again. The performing arts center will instead be a multidisciplinary space that includes theater, music and film, as well as dance, said Maggie Boepple, its president. While the Joyce will retain a role at the site, dance will just be one part of many different kinds of programming..."

"...The center has been delayed by some forces outside its control: political jockeying and the completion of a PATH station. There was also, at one point, the suggestion of moving the performing arts center off ground zero to the nearby site of the Deutsche Bank building.

Given that the center is now not expected to open until 2017 or 2018, Ms. Boepple said it is important to create a place that can change with the times..."

All I'm hoping is that they name the PAC 6WTC so it won't seem weird when all are done and eventually 5WTC

I'm guessing within the next month or so, they definitely want to get them in before late spring and certainly before summer so they have time to establish a little before the heat comes...

From wtcprogress,

"One of 416 Swamp White Oak trees that will one day weigh 11-15 tons, and grow up to 60 feet tall."
