Maybe the alignment will bend southward in order to keep off the cemetery. We all know how the dead are being respected in our culture. Moreover, it's awkward to relocate all the skeletal remains there.

Which means ung interchange ng Segment 9 at McArthur Highway will be a few meters away from South Supermarket.

I thought at first that Segment 9 construction will hit that supermarket.

Yes, probably. Because if that's the case then Valenzuela government buildings will be hit too!

TRB Executive Director Edmundo Reyes recently visited Segment 9 of NLEX Harbor Link.

Construction of the 2.4-km Segment 9, the first phase of the NLEX Harbor Link, is proceeding on schedule. Project completion is set in June 2014. Second phase of the NLEX Harbor Link is the upcoming 5.65-kilometer Segment 10 that starts where Segment 9 ends in MacArthur Highway. Such roadway stretches all the way to C-3 Road in Port Area.

NLEX Harbor Link is important part of the NLEX Phase 2 expansion program which also covers the completed P2.1 billion NLEX Mindanao Avenue Link.

I think this is the largest private infra undertaking under Aquino Admin so far.

Mukhang after 2016 pa ang NLEX-SLEX Link.

NLEX Segment 9 Updates (as of 8/10/2013)

Since malabo ang mga pictures ko nung pumunta ako roon (Cherry Mobile lang gamit ko), inedit ko na lang para mas maliwanag.

NLEX Segment 9 Construction Site (along Santolan Street, Gen. T de Leon, Valenzuela City)

Mag-uupload na lang ako ulit mamaya.

@Tulyahan:

Is the barrier on the 3rd pic for the median barrier or what?

Thanks for the pic updates.

THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKINGS AT THE CANDABA VIADUCT

MNTC is currently undertaking the re-application of thermoplastic pavement markings along the 5-km Candaba Viaduct to improve their visibility especially during heavy rains.

Pavement markings play one of the most important safety functions on our roads. They are widely accepted as being beneficial to drivers. They save lives and reduce congestion. Even in daylight, pavement markings make it possible for vehicles to travel more safely and conveniently.

Walang updates??? Mukhang na-delay ang construction dahil sa pork barrel scam...

Construction still going on. I passed by NLEX last night and I see some lights and construction workers there. So feel ko na works still on going even at night. Pero puro tinatambakan pa din ang lupa ang ginagawa nila...

Any updates on Segment 9? Regarding the ROW near the cemetery, it will bend upward as shown on the project streamers at Smart Connect interchange.

What is this road?

So for some reason I was looking at Manila on Google maps. I noticed your parliament, the Batasang Pambansa, seems to be not located anywhere special. No long axis terminating in front of it or anything. However, there seems to be a road under construction between the NLEX and Mindanao Ave, and it seems to have a right-of-way onwards filled with slums. (!) I have it on a link below. What is this road called, and is it marked to continue on to the Batasang Pambansa?

That road appears to be segment 8.2 of the NLEX-C5 extension. It is suppose to be an extension of C5 but the government had some problems and controversies at the Right Of Way.

Kailan estimated completion lagi ako nadaan ng NLEX, the other extension is the mindanao avenue itself going throgh caloocan side, if I am not mistaken tatagos yung isang side pa caloocan naman. Yung part na maraming industrial complex.
