Albania is definetly one of the hidden treasures of Europe. Last year Lonely Planet named Albania number 1 holiday spot, before Brazil! I hope I can get there before the tourists take over...

It all depends on personal taste. I for one dont like any of Italys beaches and only reason I visit(ed) Italy is for the cities, but someone might fully disagree with me which is fine. What I mean is its all on the person itself and what his perspective is of a great if not the best beach there is.

God, inspiring beauty! Bulgaria has some nice beaches to offer too. We're definitely not in the same league with these Mediterranean countries, but the sand here can be delicate and pleasant to walk on bearfooted. Check the site below. You won't regret trying out the Bulgarian beaches.
