Oooo a supertall for my next city. I like number 3 the best but #5 wouldn't be too shabby. I like it's "edgy-ness"

More renders of Murphy/Jahn's proposal from their website. 497m! Pity this one was rejected.

According to a forumer in Galoumi the local news reported today that Gensler's design won the contest, and the spire reaches 628m! The tower has 108 floors.

I'll change the title in case we can confirm it, by the moment it's just a rumor, probably fake.

Gensler's

I like the idea of it looking like a blossom bud, not sure I'm happy with the spire though. It looks artificially elongated, it does not really fit, doesn't flow well with the contours of the tower. Maybe once there are higher quality renders I will change my mind.

i have to agree, the spire looks a bit too long. The whole design reminds me of the old Kingdom Tower design, its nearly identical only that this seems to be no round base, but more like eliptic. i wonder where the top floor is.

Wow! So this one isn't located at the ASEAN CBD?? It'd look stunning surrounded by skyscrapers.

App? I would wager that it is almost time to move it to prep! Refer to the dump truck in the picture above.

I know that this is slightly off the subject, but when you look back to the Council of Tall Buildings Top 20 by 2020 written in 2008, you can already see that there will be so much more then that by 2020. IMO there is no way that by 2020 the Pentominium will be on the list. When you think about all the 2 granders coming up in China, Korea and the Middle East I think that there could be 20 2000+footers by 2020.

Tall buildings are a waste of steel and glass. Builders need to be more practical with what and where to build.
