I'd rather say the supertalls are signs of a blooming economy, not necessarily a cause for it. If the economy is good, supertalls go up.

And these renders make the building look quite awesome. Though, they imply that a lot of the surroundings will face the business end of a bulldozer some time in the near future.

Nice tower. imo one of the best currently u/c in Mumbai.

I am wondering where all these new towers are located. Does anyone know a link to a map of the city with the locations of the towers?

Within a radius of 200m five supertalls are U/C or site prep going on.Most of the supertalls are coming up in Worli and lower parel area.So roughly within a radius of 1-2 kms almost all the suprtalls can be found.

yeah, in the 1-2 kms radius we the following buildings with more than 300 meters + height (I think that is the new mark for skyscraper in Mumbai).

1. World One
2. Orchid Crown 1,2 & 3
3. Namaste Tower
4. Minerva
5. Palais Royale
6. Oasis Residential, Worli

The skyline from the worli-bandra sea-link would look beautiful with these constructions.

So here's a random fact, the core of World one has surpassed the height of the tallest monument in India, 11th Century Qutub Minar (72m)

Don't ask me why, but this monument shows some resemblance with Shanghai Tower's internal structure ...... maybe Strabala was inspired by this one?

I just saw on the NYC, Freedom tower thread that the Tower freaking has a sphere on the top which is close to 300 feet more than normal. It seems like a desperate attempt to become the tallest building in the world.

If thats case the case I think the world one should add like a huge sphere on the top of the tower. like another 300 ft. to add on. It's already the tallest residential. with sphere it will be great to keep the supremacy.

The roof/spire debate is born alongwith skyscrapers and it's old as the oldest skyscraper is.
Don't know if there's an official measurement criterion, I just think that if I have to measure the height of my house, I refer to the rooftop and not to the chimney or the TV antenna.

If you mean 1WTC in NYC, it could hardly be the tallest one with 1776 feet only (which is its height including the spire).
