There was a 2-floor rise in the core and a 2-floor rise in the slab height as well, in just 2 weeks. This supertall is rising faster, especially considering the magnitude involved.

Deekshith provided us the detailed floor plans of World One, that explains the core and slab layouts:

The purpose of providing shear wall is to give extra strength to the structure against lateral forces like wind and earthquake loads. That is why you don't see core walls in midrise or highrise structures coz the effect of horizontal load increase as the height of building increases.

These are floor plans of world one ... you can see how the space inside the core is utilised (within black lines)

That is an automatic climbing protection screen. Click here to know more.

Also the white horizontal lines you see on the core walls are the thermocol pieces. During the pouring of corewall they insert slab dowels into the core wall which helps to achieve bonding between floor slab and smooth core wall and after the core jump they chip off the thermocol and that appears like a thick white line. It also helps to count number of core floors completed.

Wow! There are lots of building constructions going on in Mubai. That last image is rare one one hardly sees coming out of India. Nice they are taking the right step to the right direction.

I personally like this building. There is evidence it will be one of the unique skyscrapers that will be coming of that country, looking at the rendering and the rate of construction work.

Go Mubbai!
