They lack the sophistication of Brazilians. Which aboriginal town has a mall with Louis Vuitton, Channel and Hermès as the flagship stores with tree-lined streets?

![]() Oh, I like SP... It's an exciting city! BH is a vibrant city. ![]() And my city, Curitiba (Southern Brazil), has arborized streets too. It's so rare in Brazil... (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1199453 - Curitiba, Brazil) ![]() Australian colleagues, hugs from Brazil! I have a friend who spent six months on the Gold Coast (exchange). He loved to know Australia - including Australian girls!

The thing with Australians is, if you can take a joke, we'll like you. If you try and argue with us, you will be mocked. Don't take anything we say too seriously, it is rarely intended that way.

There are areas in Hong Kong that do contain lovely non-high rise dwellings. the peak is littered with hugely expensive mansions set in lush tropical greenery, most if it up high overlooking the south China Sea and city. ![]() ![]() Stanley - HK Is ![]() There are also plenty of great areas in the New Territories, that have beautiful residential dwellings and a clamer way of life. 15 Plantation Road ![]() mmm palacial ![]() ![]() Leafy Streets around the Victoria Peak ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sure, despite not having a mall with Louis Vuitton, Channel and Hermès as the flagship stores with tree-lined street, it has the best prawn salads, prawn crackers, prawn tempuras, prawns and chips, prawn cocktails that Sao Paulo "can only dream of". It also proud of having the world renowned BSD as among its residents.

Should lots of low rise residential areas really be in a city when there's x million people living in it? Such areas have a place - but they shouldn't be the norm.

Anyway, I don't know why I'm arguing. I've always wanted to visit SP and imagine I'd love it.

Sao Paulo is not full of affluent, leafy suburban streets either. Hong Kong actually has more detached houses in nice areas than you might think, HK is not all densely populated high rise units. |
