Waterloo Kitchener help

Hi all,

I am moving to the area for grad school - but I am well past the party stage in life (more into the potluck & dinner party), and value a quiet place to live.

I know little about the area and was wondering if there are some local online Waterloo forums where I can get a better idea of what the neighbourhoods and districts of the city are like on the ground. For example there is connect2edmonton.ca for Edmonton and vibrantvictoria.ca for Victoria.

I have lots of questions (ie where to live that will be reasonably quiet) and need to tap some local knowledge.
