From a constructive point of view I like this building, its construction is quite genius for high buildings, as adelaideglenelg said. 8.5

It shouldn't get a high score just because it's tall, but it is a decent building, and that night shot is great.

8/10

It gets points of course for its height, but apart from that it doesn't have the greatest design, or facade. I go on style not so much height so 6.5/10

8/10 for originality and how damn impressive it is in person. It marches to it's own drumbeat though is not particularly attractive. Like a character-actor.

Never seen it in person but from pics it don't look very special.
Looks superb in night shots coz you can't see all the random chunky cut outs, looks too skinny at the top too. 6/10
The blandness of this building is what makes Petronas #1

Ah, the legendary Sears Tower!

Well, it's TALL alright!

But, just like the company whose name it bears: it's admirable, but no beauty. Sound efficiency, but no elegance. Built to last but bound to chip. Aspiration but no panache. Great features, though.

OK. 7.0

I gave it 7.5/10 mainly because of its tetris block look, it's still a pretty nice scraper though.

8/10 - I've been there - simply awesome height, definitely proud and soaring, and the bronze glass cen really dance with the light. Plus, the setbacks move it beyond boxiness.

But the plaza isn't all that impressive, and the tower does just seem to slam into the sidewalk.

By the way, one elevtor goes straight to the observation deck, and it has "elevator entertainment" - a screen over the door, in which you can see, as you listen to the voice of an "elevator pilot" who swears he knows he's doing, an image of the elevator crashing out of the top of the tower, zipping past the space station, falling back INTO the tower, etc...

I like the building at the same time I don't. It's cool that it is as tall as it is and it's one of the last remaning skyscraper icons left in the US. On the other hand the thing looks massive and its multuple boxes stacked on top of each other.

I give it a 8.0

I agree it is still the worlds tallest skyscraper. If you put that building next to the petronas towers in skyscraperpage.com, it looks taller. You don't need words to desrcibe this building. It gets a high rating from me. I wonder how it would look like with one antenna in the middle of the rooftop? Would people in Chicago like it or dislike it? Would it look better or worse?

It's such an impressive building that it almost asks for a 10 but then I am not too crazy about the boxiness of it, I'll give it a 8.0
