This building has really grown on me.
I like its sheer sense of height but i guess being so damn tall helps a bit in achieving this

Anyways its very nice 9.5

A like this tower cose is Tall, Simple, Elegant, and I love that black, I give it a 9.5/10

Very Tall ! I like the black color of the building but that white antenna on top of the building is kind of ugly.

Not my favorite design, but very impressive and it and JHC on the other side of downtown sort of frame the skyline nicely.

What's with all the people ragging on the color?

The Sears Tower is a place of business, and like a fine suit, it's simple, dark, elegant, and handsome.

You don't go to work in a clown suit, why would you work in a shiny, pointy, colorful neon building?

It`s the daddy of all skyscrapers....it has to be to stand out on a skyline`s such as Chicago`s

just checked the poll. Who are the 29 people who gave it less than 3, I know everyones entitled to there opinion, but it`s the Sears Tower, height and stature alone should give it a high marking among skyscraper fans. I know it`s a bit boxy and not really imaginative but it`s starkness and height stands out on the Chicago Skyline and I can`t (or wouldn`t) imagine it in any other form...that`s why i gave it 9/10....pity those who gave it less than 3 haven`t got the guts or range of vocabulary to explain why their marking was so low
