I agree. 220 CPS will be very tall too.

Seems likely, Adrian Smith designed The Trump tower in Chicago.

But 400m would look better on the paper

I'm sure they'll com up with a antenna spire that will take it past the 400 meter mark.

James,

Can you post a sketch based upon the description you have.

I also had received inside info re: the design of 432 Park before it was released, and someone made a sketch based upon my description that proved to be 100% accurate.

The anticipation of a release of the renderings is killing me. I'm so news starved about this tower.

Good evening all,

today I received conformation that the official street address will be 217 West 57th Street. As mentioned previously, a proper name for the building has not been chosen yet.

I can only describe the tower's design so far (see my previous posts). The thing is, all I can do for now is to pass inside info from my colleague to you guys. Although he described the tower pretty well and for numerous times, he didn't take any pictures. I really wish I could see the renderings with my own eyes already but I'm afraid that's not possible. At least we won't be waiting that long, I mean by the end of the month we should see some awesome quality renderings.

Have a nice weekend all,

Regards,
James

Will the preliminary renderings of the building in the skyline be released sooner?

Yes. There is one big rendering showing the tower integrated in the Manhattan skyline (primarily Midtown, WTC in the distance). If I recall correctly, he said the view is from Central Park but high up.

James

The footprint is supposed to be 200 ft. by 200 ft. / 61 m by 61 m.

Almost. Just put everything in lower case, misspell every other word, and drop the punctuation. And don't forget the 2,000 foot reference.

thanks a lot!

will be interesting seeing the renders of this building, I am disappointed about the height decrease, BUUUUT before the height increase to 1550ft, weren't we all predicting this tower to be around 370/80 anyway? so it's not that much of a loss in that respect

Excited to hear that the renderings are coming out soon, and to hear about the green cladding (we've had enough blue going up in this city; it was time for a change).

Disappointed to hear about the height reduction. But it is what it is. At least it wasn't reduced arbitrarily by some inane city bureaucrat like the Tower Verre. This street is going to be amazing by the end of the decade. And then we can hope for the city's tallest structure on 42nd street (where it belongs, the heart of Midtown), after the rezoning.
