Anyone doing a mock up with the step at the top, maybe one with just the east side indented and one with the east and north indented?

This is basically @L.A.F.2.

There quite a few cantilevered buildings in New York as well.
three quickly come to mind...I walked by them this morning
Citicorp, Lever House and IBM.

225 does have numerous setbacks and appears to have a setback 10-15 floors from the crown

I like the cantilever as well. It is unsettling, abrupt, and will draw the eye of residents and tourists alike.

The Dutch city of Eindhoven has a building with a cantilever and it actually looks very good. It's called the Kennedytoren and its 83 meters tall.

I wish this tower wasn't cancelled. Real unfortunate it was.

Those cantilevers don't really overstep their building's footprints the way this one's does.

For what it's worth, I shot an email to SmithGill to see if they could confirm whether what was shown at the LC meeting was representative of the final product or something more preliminary. Not that I expect to hear anything back, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

Cool. Extell's e-mail address should appear on the NB application.

I couldn't agree more. At least I'll do. I cannot judge it by just 1 fuzzy video. (no offense meant)
