The big gray one shows only the lower half of the tower. The upper half is the second piece in front of it.

Sidenote: the AS+GG office in Chicago (pictured above, you can see the Chase Tower in the background) is a really, really nice space.

Yeah I know. The cut and the divider matches where the mechanical are on the model

Yes Skyscraper Page has a diagram finally or am I late for that, I was expecting something taller, but for goodness sakes will anything beat Sears/Wills tower roof height.

Yea, my biggest disappointment for this tower isn't the design, its the fact that its only 30 feet shorter then the Willis. You can barely notice 30 ft up in the air, but it would be nice to de-throne the Willis.

Tower could be redesigned taller, 2 Hudson will be huge, mystery Shvo tower could beat Sears too.

Nothing to say (but I share my opinion with the majority). I just hope that the final design is better than that, and maybe a little higher.

As far as the design is great I don't mind chicago tower being a bit taller. You won't be able to tell the difference anyway

1. This is not the final design. It is a clearer photo of the same massing model shown to CB-5.

2. Extell has said that it may exceed 1,500'.

you can keep on telling that, some guys are just not listening.
Anyway, it looks like we'll have another very tall slender tower on our hands.

I never thought I'd say this, but One World Trade Center's design is looking pretty good right now.

One57 looks really tall in this awesome video, yet in a few years, it will be joined and/or eclipsed by:

1. Steinway;
2. Nordstrom;
3. Verre;
4. 432 Park;
5. 425 Park;
6. 45 E 60th;
7. 220 CPS;
8. Park Lane;
9. 650 Madison; and
10. Shvo, together with many supertalls rising at the Yards 25 blocks to the south.

Its a shame that its going to be eclipsed by a banal box such as this.

One57 is great, but the Shvo must go on.
