What is the Amish population in NYC? Anyone know?

We have no Amish in NYC. it would be a place of sin to their culture. Lol

I think NY State has a small Amish population, but they would be hours away somewhere in the middle of nowhere in upstate NY. Probably near the Canadian border.

It would make a good tv show though! Amish invades NYC.

Actually, I think 50% of the Nations Amish population lives in my current town of Shippensburg Pennsylvania You can't take a trip in any direction from my house, and not run into a Horse and Buggy slowly making their way down the road. Pretty much every business in our area, including Walmart, has a spot in the parking lot, to tie a horse to while the people shop. Another funny thing is, a few weeks ago, we called a company to come and give us a quote on removing a tree from the back yard, and the person showed up in a Horse and Buggy I gotta say though, Amish folk are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Does anyone know anything Amish cuisine? I think that an Amish restaurant would do really well in Manhattan.

Traditional "Pennsylvania Dutch" cuisine like dumplings, pork sausages, scrapple and "Shoo-Fly Pie" for dessert. You don't have to go to Lancaster Country to one of those Amish 'all you can eat' buffets, there's an Amish restaurant in Philly's Reading Terminal Market.

It kinda looks like it was designed by somebody who's never used a computer before.

Speaking of the design, I can't see the render in the first post. Says bandwidth exceeded.

Exactly! It really IS farm to table with the Amish. You won't find instant mashed potatoes or processed meat on an Amish dinner table. Those buffets in Lancaster are great. Especially if you like good, traditionally home cooked meals. I think an Amish restaurant would do great in the Big Apple, but I don't think true Amish could put up with the city life of NYC. Could you picture a horse and buggy going down Broadway

I did have to contend with a mounted cop in the bike lane on my ride home a few days ago...

It's not bad. it has grown on me overtime. lol.

Since this is a massing and whatever the final product will be, it will be amazing even if it will be pretty similar to that render in shape.

I don't mind it. I prefer it over 432 Park and 107 West 57th, actually.

It seems 220CPS will end up being close to supertall or even supertall height. I hope that drive Extell to go full height here, means, as much as possible. Hopefully 500m. *fingers crossed*
