These development surges are unreal. A 1000 footer in front of a 1500 footer cantilevered because the former is blocking the view. Only in NY

It would be such a treat and quite a sight to watch these towers rise together!

It is. That is a great POV to follow both towers.

I haven't heard anything about the cantilever being cancelled. They're just speculating.

Just wish Extell would unveil the damn thing... the ground is being excavated and yet we don't have one real render. We know pretty much what 111 will look like, already. Same with 220. This far into the process, spill already, Extell!

Yes, I remember that. I prefer to see the renders sooner though.

They're probably in the midst of finalizing the design after the cantilever vote and deal went through. Up to that point, SmithGill still had several possible configurations to contend with, and so wouldn't have gone to the trouble of finalizing every last detail until they knew which version would be built.

Here's an update of the list I created a while back, which I've dubbed the "Big Board". It's so hard to keep track of all these NYC projects, but this can help.

In the list below, if the building's height is underlined, it has topped out.

Blue is for newer buildings, gray is for older ones. The oldest "new" building on the list is Beekman Tower (also called 8 Spruce Street, New York by Gehry, etc.).

The little orange-yellow "men at work" triangles mean that construction is underway.

The tiny excavators with the shovel indicate excavation is underway.

I'm experimenting with a tiny stop sign for "on hold". For 3 WTC, both "under construction" and "on hold" are indicated. Hard to know how to consider that one.

A green "OPEN" sign means the building has at least some tenants moved in. I suppose 4 WTC should have both under construction and open icons.

Of course, some changes will have to be made. I'll update this every month or so if people are interested.

Smaller for those with eagle eyes:

Other projects on the radar (haven't added all the icons yet):
