The supermarket won't be there for long. A lot of work is progressing at 140 W 57th, the site to which it's relocating.

Sources? Links? I very highly doubt this.

Rumors are just rumors, I'd like to see something solid that marks this as a megatall before I believe that it will indeed be one

I believe that this tower will be between 350 and 450 meters. I believe that "hyper-tall" is well in excess of that figure. Thus, I agree that it won't be 500m+.

my guess is it will be 1400-1700 feet, i mean im sure it will be inbetween that especially with some other towers that are possibly that tall like girasole, and 432 park avenue almost 1400 feet, im sure it will be 1500+

Keep in mind though, One57 is only 305m and it dominates the area. You don't need a megatall here for it to be impressive.
My guess is it will be between 1250 and 1500 ft, perhaps more if it has a spire.

I highly doubt that the roof will be 1,700 feet. I would not be surprised if it slightly exceeds 1,400 feet merely to claim to be NY's tallest tower.

that was my max for height, i mean thats why it was my max, because of slim chances, i think it will be around the 1500 ft mark.

Agreed, I think something in the ~1500' range is most likely. A spire could take it higher, but I feel like those are fairly rare for residential projects.

I think they will want to claim the title of tallest in America but I don't think it will come close to being a megatall. I expect something around 500 meters

A height of 1500' (excluding spire) would be perfect. A 300' spire would give a total height of 1800'. Just enough to trounce the Willis Tower in Chicago for Americas' tallest in all height categories.

I hope there won't be a spire

there aren't many buildings with spires or antennas on that side of midtown, so i wouldn't mind if this building has one.

This has the potential to be the modern equivalent of ESB, spiring above the rest by a good margin... Hope so

A height of 1600 feet would be perfect IMO. Also no box please, but I fear it will.
